These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Public Pulse platform, website, applications, services and related features (collectively the “Platform”). By creating an account, accessing or using Public Pulse, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
1. About Public Pulse
Public Pulse is a public opinion and sentiment platform where users can post opinions and viewpoints, participate in public discussion, vote on opinions and topics, engage in debate, and view public sentiment trends and analytics. Public Pulse is intended for discussion, sentiment tracking and engagement purposes only. The Platform does not provide legally binding voting, legal advice, political endorsements, government representation, election services or official polling.
2. Eligibility
To use Public Pulse, you must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age in your jurisdiction), provide accurate registration information, comply with all applicable laws, and not be prohibited from using online services. Public Pulse reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false, misleading or fraudulent information.
3. Account Registration & Verification
Users may be required to verify their identity, email or telephone. Verification reduces fake accounts, bots and manipulation, and improves trust and fair participation. You agree not to impersonate another person, create multiple deceptive accounts, share account access, or bypass verification systems. Public Pulse may suspend or permanently ban accounts involved in fraudulent activity.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to: post abusive, threatening or harassing content; use excessive foul or offensive language; post hate speech or discriminatory content; encourage violence, terrorism or criminal activity; bully, intimidate or harass other users; post defamatory or knowingly false information; post pornography or sexually explicit material; share personal or confidential information without consent; impersonate public figures or organisations; manipulate votes or engagement; use bots or automated systems; attempt to hack or disrupt the Platform; post spam or scams; or upload malicious software. Public Pulse may remove content or suspend accounts that breach these rules.
5. Community Standards
Public Pulse encourages strong but respectful public debate. Respectful disagreement is permitted; personal abuse, threats or encouragement of violence, and hateful or discriminatory language are prohibited. The Platform may use automated moderation including profanity filtering, abuse detection and AI moderation tools. Users acknowledge moderation decisions may involve automated systems.
6. Content Moderation
Public Pulse reserves the right to remove content, restrict visibility, apply warnings, suspend commenting privileges, suspend or terminate accounts, and report unlawful activity. Moderation may be based on abusive behaviour, threats, hate speech, misinformation risks, illegal content, harassment, spam or manipulation. Repeated violations may result in permanent account removal.
7. User Content
You retain ownership of your content. By posting on Public Pulse you grant Public Pulse a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, store, reproduce, analyse, distribute, promote, moderate, and improve platform functionality with your content in connection with operating the Platform. You confirm you own the rights to your content (or have permission), it does not infringe third-party rights, and it complies with these Terms.
8. Public Opinions & Accuracy
Opinions are solely those of individual users. Public Pulse does not endorse, verify or guarantee the accuracy of user opinions, factual correctness, political claims, or public statements made by users. Users are responsible for evaluating information independently. Public Pulse is not liable for decisions made based on user-generated content.
9. Voting & Sentiment Data
Public Pulse provides opinion tracking and sentiment analysis for informational and entertainment purposes. Results, sentiment data and analytics are not official election results, are not legally binding, do not represent verified public polling standards, and may not reflect the views of the wider population. Features such as trending opinions, regional sentiment, engagement statistics, AI-generated summaries and public mood indicators are for engagement and information only.
10. AI Features & Automated Systems
The Platform may use AI for content moderation, profanity filtering, spam detection, sentiment summaries, recommendations, trend analysis and analytics generation. AI-generated content may occasionally contain inaccuracies. Users should not rely solely on AI-generated summaries or analytics.
11. Privacy & Data Protection
Public Pulse is committed to protecting user privacy and complying with applicable data protection laws, including UK GDPR where applicable. The Platform may collect account information, verification status, device information, usage analytics, voting activity, engagement data and regional information. Public Pulse will not intentionally sell personally identifiable information without lawful basis or consent. Please review the Privacy Policy for details.
12. Intellectual Property
All platform branding, design, software, logos, graphics and systems belong to Public Pulse unless otherwise stated. Users may not copy platform systems, reverse engineer the software, reproduce branding without permission, or commercially exploit platform content without authorisation.
13. Suspension & Termination
Public Pulse may suspend or terminate accounts at its discretion where users breach these Terms, engage in abusive conduct, manipulate voting systems, create security risks, or violate laws. Serious breaches may result in immediate permanent bans.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Public Pulse is not liable for user-generated content, opinions expressed by users, inaccurate information, interruptions or downtime, data loss, indirect or consequential damages, or reliance on sentiment analytics or voting results. The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Public Pulse, its owners, employees and affiliates from claims, damages, liabilities and expenses arising from your use of the Platform, your content, your breach of these Terms, or your unlawful conduct.
16. Changes to Terms
Public Pulse may update these Terms periodically. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance. Users should review the Terms regularly.
